"Not only the artist's talent but his love went into the composition of this piece entitled Tuesday's Child," stated Coleman Art, in their 1984 publication of the artist's bronzes. It continued, "In 1958 Audie Murphy, the famed Medal of Honor winner, gave Dr. Coleman a yearling filly named Direct Flight. She won many awards and became a well known broodmare who produced stakes winners and award winning offspring. She was a member of the Coleman family for 21 years. After delivering her 1979 foal, a beautiful filly named Tuesday's Child - the mare died. Dr. Coleman, as an expression of his love, created this masterpiece in memory of the man and the mare."1
