Coleman Art of Corpus Christi, Texas, described the subject of the present work in their 1984 publication of the artist's limited edition bronzes as "The wiley old moss back who, during hunting season offers only fleeting glimpses - somehow knows that hunting season has ended and boldly looks back at you from his grassy knoll."1
