The present works was described by Coleman Art, in their catalogue of the artist's bronzes, published in 1984, as "A dynamic bronze of an Indian on horseback entitled, 'Many Moons Ago.' The bronze is mounted on a unique symbolic buffalo base - reminding us of our past, the near extinction of the buffalo, and the rapidly changing world."1
