A fine Louis XVI style ormolu urn form pendule à cercles tournants
The movement stamped "Douillon à St. Nicholas / M'tion Honor'le"
Date: Circa 1830
Movement: Concealed within the base, circular plates, motion work placed above the plates driving an iron rod through the urn, anchor escapement with thread pendulum suspension, count wheel striking the hour and half hour on bell
Dial: Two bands of white enamel plaques for roman hours and Arabic minutes
Case: The urn with rising serpent handles on a molded base modeled as a fountain, flanked by a putto holding a musket and another with a hound and gesturing to indicate the time
Signed: 23 in (53.5cm) high
Date: Circa 1830
