Footnotes
Cressarrow, a crescent pierced by an arrow, was the trademark used by the jewelers Henry Blank & Co, Newark, NJ. Founded in the 1890's, they supplied fine jewelry to numerous firms and counted Tiffany & Co. as a major client. Their watches contained high grade Swiss movements such as that by C. H. Meylan in the present example.
