A fine and rare engraved gilt miniature carriage timepiece
Signed, "Dent, Watch Maker to the Queen"
Date: Mid 19th century
Movement: Rectangular plates joined by four screwed pillars, chain fusee, platform right angle lever escapement with cut bimetallic balance with numerous poising and timing screws, back and front plates numbered 374
Dial: Silvered rectangular engraved with flowers and scrolls, roman chapter ring, blued fleur-de-lys hands
Case: On tapered feet, with grooved columns and ball finials to the corners, handle chased with scrolls, the top and side panels engine turned with engraved border of scrolls, the similarly engraved rear door with bouquet of flowers
Size: 5 ½ in (14cm) high including handle
Date: Mid 19th century
