Date: Circa 1830
Movement: Silvered straight line lever escapement, bi metallic balance, back plate inscribed "echap't libre à repos, dégagement / ressort levee, et huit trous en rubis", polished steel striking work with two nested bells planted on back plate, strike / silent lever in base
Dial: Guilloché gilt mask with winding apertures enclosing white enamel roman chapter dial with seconds ring at XII o'clock, subsidiary enamel dials for date and alarm, blued hands
Case: Boldly cast and chased with fruit and foliage, glazed on all sides, the folding handle similarly cast and chased
Signed: Dial and movement
Size: 7 ¾ in (19.5cm) high including handle
