A French Gilt-Bronze and White Marble center seconds Mantle Clock with Brocot Perpetual Calendar
Date: Circa 1875
Movement: With arched rectangular plates, visible Brocot escapement, spring suspended Ellicott-type three rod gridiron pendulum, rack striking the hour and half hour on a bell; the calendar mechanism with circular plates mounted below and driven from the striking train
Dial: Upper 60-seconds ring with subsidiary roman chapter dial and visible escapement above a circular month ring with Equation of Time scale enclosing subsidiary day and date dials and a moon phase display, blued sweep seconds, hour, minute, day and date hands, month/equation hand with gilt sunburst, all within a scroll engraved gilt mask
Case: Gilt four glass frame with white marble base and pediment
