A good mid 19th century engraved brass oval strut timepiece
Thomas Cole for C.F Hancock, 39 Bruton Street, London, no.1137-153
The cast shaped border with integral suspension loop and feet engraved with foliage on a hatched ground, the backplate signed and numbered for the retailers and with folding Y-shaped strut numbered '37, the silvered Roman dial with minute track framed by foliate scrolls and a repeat-pattern border, with blued-steel hands, the Swiss watch-type movement with cylinder escapement. 12cm (4 1/2) high (1)
