Footnotes
Antoine-Henri Voisin (1733 - d. after 1815) known as Henri worked in Rue de Thionville in Paris before 1773 till 1807. He was part of a well established family of clockmakers. He became a master in 1755, and took over the family business after the death of his father in 1760, and became a member of the Paris jure from 1773 to 1807.
The current lions paw feet are particularly rare in that each is further adorned with a pair of rams' feet to each side. Some of the mounts are cast with the initials E.B and numbered 1260.
