A 2-inch SCALE MODEL OF A PORTABLE ENGINE, circa 1865,

in the style of Turner Engineers, Ipswich. The fully riveted copper boiler supports an inclined feed-pump with bypass, curved crankshaft and guide bar brackets. The saddled cylinder is mounted on the firebox wrapper. Fittings include a Salter safety valve, sight glass fittings and level test cocks, whistle and blowdown valves. The cast wheels are shaped to simulate wooden ones. Several separate loose pieces, 25½in (65cm) high, 17in (43cm) wide
