A MODEL OF A VERTICAL PETROL ENGINE, circa 1930,

the water-cooled, exposed crank engine with a cylinder of 1½in bore by 2¼in stroke, fitted with a carburettor, rocker arm driven inlet valve actuated by a gear-driven cam and engaged or disengaged by a spring adjustable cross arm governor, mounted vertically on the main bearing pedestal cap. The cylinder also has an adjustable cam-operated exhaust valve and an automatic air inlet valve. Finished in green with polished brightwork, wooden decorated plinth, 14in (36cm) high, 11¾in (30cm) wide
