A BRASS MODEL OF A SINGLE CYLINDER FOUR PILLAR BEAM ENGINE, by Lucas and Davis circa 1870,

with copper boiler on the same mahogany plinth. The brass beam is supported on decorative Gothic frames with brass parallel motion and connecting rod. The crankshaft carries a flywheel and triple pulley, a pedestal mounted governor and adjustable eccentric-driven valve gear. The copper centre-flue boiler with level test cocks, main stop valve, lever-type safety valve, filler plug and decorative chimney, 13in (33cm) high, 12in (30cm) wide
