A WORLD WAR II MERRYWEATHER MANUAL STEAM FIRE ENGINE, built in 1944,

WD Number W1/WA/2190, the B-type boiler is fitted with pressure and water gauge, safety and blower valves, MW2 lifting injector steam and clack valves, water level test cocks and feed pump clack valve. The single cylinder engine has a cylinder 4in bore x 4in stroke with cylinder and round, integrally cast valve-chest, draincocks and bottle lubricator. Rotary motion is via a scotch crank which also runs the boiler feedpump which can pick up water either from the head or an individual suction cock. The pump is fitted with pressure vessels on both inlet and outlet sides. Carrying pole eyes are fitted and wheels and handle chassis can lift the engine for manoeuvring, 74¼in (188.5cm) high, 60in (152.5cm) wide
