Two inlaid shibuichi okimono
Meiji era (1868-1912), late 19th/early 20th century
One consisting of three inlaid shibuichi hojiro (meadow bunting), the feathers chased in cloisonné-enamel, perched within the hollow of a rootwood tree trunk, 29.5cm (11 5/8in) high; the second of a solitary dove similarly inlaid and perched, 20cm (7 7/8in) high, each fixed to a wood stand; each unsigned.
