A Cased 90-Bore Percussion Self-Cocking Six-Shot Revolver Of Bentley Type
Retailed By Egan, Bradford, Mid-19th Century

With octagonal sighted barrel retaining some original blueing (flaked), cut with a sighting groove along the top and rifled with twelve grooves, case-hardened cylinder and rammer, the latter with blued spring-catch on one side, border engraved action and trigger-guard decorated with foliate scrollwork, the former signed on the tang, blued foliate scroll engraved hammer with blued spring safety-stop, chequered figured rounded butt, case-hardened butt-cap with hinged circular butt-trap cover engraved as a flower-head, shield-shaped vacant silver escutcheon, and some original finish: in original lined and fitted mahogany case with accessories including brass-mounted powder-flask with fluted bag-shaped body, and brass bullet mould, the interior of the lid with remains of retailer's trade label, the exterior with circular vacant brass escutcheon, Birmingham proof marks
