A Pair Of Continental Percussion Blunderbuss-Pistols
Early 19th Century, Probably Liège

With two-stage twist barrels each turned at the elliptical muzzle and at the girdle, octagonal breeches stamped later 'B10016' and 'B10017' respectively, border engraved tangs, rounded locks, figured full stocks (one with old splits, fore-end incomplete along one side, and on the other at the muzzle) each carved with a flower in relief behind the tang, border engraved steel mounts comprising shaped bevelled side-plates, flattened spurred pommels each with ovoidal cap, trigger-guards each with acorn finial, slotted ramrod-pipes, and later ramrods (2)
