A pale green jade 'dragon' vase and cover
Late Qing Dynasty/Republic period
Of flattened baluster form, crisply carved in low relief with two writhing dragons amid cloud scrolls and flame wisps pursuing a flaming pearl, the neck flanked by a pair of animal-mask handles suspending loose rings, all supported on a tall spreading foot with lappets, surmounted by a domed cover with cloud scrolls and a spiralling lotus flower knop, the stone of green tone with greyish-green and milky-beige inclusions.
