A dark blue-ground kesi 'dragon' panel
Circa 1780-1820
The rectangular panel decorated with a large front-facing dragon leaping around a flaming pearl amidst clouds and above turbulent waves tossed with four of the Eight Buddhist Emblems, all delicately woven in gold-wrapped thread and shades of blue, coral, yellow and ivory. 75.5cm (24 6/8in) long x 50cm (19 2/8in) wide.
