The first survey of the roads of England and Wales, "based on contemporary and collaborative research... [which] marked the first major advance in cartography in England since the Tudor period" (ODNB). Loosely inserted is a printed broadside advertisement "To Be Let by Ticket at the Castle Public House in Caergwrley... 23rd of October, 1819... the Remaining Part of a New Road to be Made from Caergwrley to... Abermor-ddu & Cefny-Y-Bedd...", printed by T. Lewis at Mold.
