A large bronze figure of a Buddhist Guardian of the Four Directions

Ming Dynasty, 17th century
Wearing elaborately armoured robes and helmet, with a billowing celestial scarf draped around his neck, the hands clasped together before him, set on a wave and rockwork base, traces of gilt and lacquered decoration remaining.
41.5cm (16.3/8in) high.
