A 'chicken bone' jade carving of two rams and a russet jade carving of a horse

Ming Dynasty and later
The first group with two recumbent rams with their legs tucked beneath bodies and their horned heads turned towards each other, rosewood stand; the second of a recumbent horse, the legs and tail swept underneath the powerful body and the large head turned back and biting its hoof, rosewood stand. The largest: 9.5cm (3 3/4in) wide (4).
