A German late 18th/early 19th century mahogany, satinwood, ash, purplewood and marquetry cylinder bureau cabinet

In three sections, inlaid with a Neoclassical mansion, cavalrymen, hounds, putti, allegorical figures and assorted animals, the stepped top above a door and a hinged fall enclosing six drawers and a central door, flanked by two convex doors each enclosing one drawer, the cylinder below enclosing eleven drawers and a convex door, above one long writing drawer enclosing two compartments with sliding lids flanking a central hinged leather inset surface, over three long drawers, 123cm wide x 56cm deep x 223cm high, (48in wide x 22in deep x 87 1/2in high)
