A pair of Italian mid-19th century giltwood mirrors

Venetian
Each with a later plate within a C-scroll, acanthus, rocaille, floral and serpent mask carved surround, surmounted by a ho-ho bird cresting, each: 162cm high x 69cm wide. (2)

Footnotes

A virtually identical Venetian mirror to the offered lot, also one of a pair, is dated circa 1850 and appears illustrated in G. Child, World Mirrors, 1650-1900, 1990, London, fig. 647, p. 289.
