17 silver gelatin print portraits, all signed at lower right by Tycko, Los Angeles, 1926-1934, most in "Tycko / Ambassador Hotel / Los Angeles" sleeves, featuring portraits of illustrators JAMES MONTGOMERY FLAGG (2) and FRANK GODWIN; aviation pioneer CLARENCE M. YOUNG (2 8 x 10 in and one 11 x 14 in print); screenwriter GOVERNEUR MORRIS; and other Los Angeles-based businessmen and socialites.
Provenance: descended through the family of Aaron Tycko.

Tycko was the house photographer at the Ambassador Hotel in the second quarter of the 20th century.
