JOHN F. KENNEDY WHITE 1963 LINCOLN "LIMO ONE" THAT CARRIED HIM THE MORNING OF NOVEMBER 22, 1963.

A white 1963 Lincoln Continental Convertible that drove JFK, Jackie, and Texas Governor John Connally to Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth the morning of November 22, 1963. A 4-door Ermine White convertible, 430ci V8 engine, built November 3, 1963, loaned by Bill Golightly as an official vehicle denoted as "Limo One" for JFK and Jackie's time in Fort Worth, November 21-22, 1963; sympathetically restored by Lincoln specialist Baker Restoration of Putnam, Connecticut, with engine replaced, and repainted, red leather interiors in original condition, further details available upon request.
Provenance: Bill Golightly; loaned to the United States; returned to Golightly; sold to David Pelham, Dallas, 1964; sold to L. H. Hough, Museum of American Tragedy, 1967; sold from their collection, 1998, to John Reznikoff; sold Camelot: 50 Years After Dallas, RR Auction, Boston, October 24, 2013, lot 140.

THE LAST CAR TO CARRY PRESIDENT AND JACKIE KENNEDY ON THE MORNING OF NOVEMBER 22ND, 1963, BEFORE THE MOTORCADE TO DEALEY PLAZA IN DALLAS. The President and Jackie Kennedy woke up at the Fort Worth Hotel the morning of November 22, 1963, made a call to their hosts to thank them for the care they had been shown, and were transported by this brand new white Lincoln Continental that had been loaned by local car dealer Bill Golightly to a breakfast where President spoke to a sizable crowd in a light rain. People had turned out in large numbers to see the President and First Lady, and as they proceeded to Carswell Air Force Base to board Air Force One, they took their time, basking in the warm reception. Exiting the vehicle, they boarded the waiting plane for the fateful trip to Dallas where the death of the President would shock a nation.

A historically significant automobile, the last car to safely transport President Kennedy, before he climbed into the official Presidential limousine SS-100-X which would carry him into Dealey Plaza.
