JFK NOTE TO DAVE POWERS.

KENNEDY, JOHN FITZFGERALD. 1917-1963. Autograph Note Signed ("Jack") to Dave Powers, asking him to "remind me after the first of the year about arranging Father Cavanaugh's luncheon...," 1 p, 159 x 146 mm, undated, folded, some smudges to ink.
Provenance: David F. Powers; sold Camelot: 50 Years After Dallas, RR Auction, Boston, October 24, 2013, lot 11.

Dave Powers was an indispensable assistant to Kennedy, and by many accounts his closest friend. The note is in reference to Father John J. Cavanaugh, who served as President of Notre Dame University from 1946 to 1952, and was also the personal family priest of the Kennedys.
