OFFICIAL ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAMS DURING THE FORD ADMINISTRATION.

Washington: 1974-76. A Collection of 59 official Entertainment programs for Sate Banquets at the White House, with some duplication, in small 8vo format, with embossed gilt presidential crest on the upper covers, and cotton tassels. Some with an extra printed card listing the official arrival protocol at the White House, for a dignitary; together with special "Detailed Scenarios" for the State visits of President D'Estaing in May 1976, and Queen Elizabeth I in July 1976.

An almost complete run of formal Banquet Entertainment Programs, 12 for 1974, 26 for 1975, and 21 for 1976, most with duplicates. The Kings, Queens and Heads of State, to be entertained include President Kaunda, Emperor and Empress of Japan, Mr and Mrs Rabin, President and Mrs Giscard D'Estaing, King and Queen of Spain, and King Hussein of Jordan.
It must be remembered that Ford stepped in after the resignation of President Nixon, at a most difficult time for the country, and managed to steer the ship for the next 3 years. Diplomacy has always been an essential tool in placing the President at a higher level, and the entertainment of Heads of State is an important part of that process.
