Collection of signed documents and photographs from Assistant Secretary of Defense Jack Katzen:
1. Document Signed ("Ronald Reagan"), being an appointment for Katzen as Assistant Secretary of Defense, 13 1/2 x 10 1/2 inches (visible), gold Department of Defense seal, with ribbons affixed, March 25, 1988, countersigned by Frank C. Carlucci, matted and framed.
2. Photograph Signed ("Ronald Reagan"), 8 x 10 inch C-print of Reagan congratulating Katzen, inscribed in the lower margin in a scribal hand, "To Jack Katzen, With best wishes," and signed by Reagan, matted and framed.
3. Typed Letter Signed ("Ronald Reagan") to Katzen, "...always be proud of the part you have played in rebuilding America's defenses and international standing...," 8 x 11 inches, on The White House letterhead, January 19, 1989, matted and framed.
4. Document Signed ("Ronald Reagan" and "Dick Armey"), being a souvenir copy of H.R. 4481, the "Defense Savings Act," 8 1/2 x 11 inches, April 28, 1988, matted and framed.
WITH four additional framed items: official appointment as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, signed by Caspar Weinberger, August 9, 1987; and three photographs of Katzen and other administration officials in their milieu.
