A LYNDON B. JOHNSON SIGNED BASEBALL.

An Official American League baseball signed by Lyndon Johnson ("Lyndon B. Johnson"), a Reach Joseph Cronin ball, 50 oz, 9 inch circumference.
Provenance: Joseph P. Barrett (With typed enclosure letter signed from Johnson assistant Ivan Sinclair, dated October 21, 1964, with original mailing envelope and front panel of padded envelope for the ball).

A PRESIDENTIAL SINGLE SIGNED BASEBALL FROM LBJ. Johnson grew up playing first base, catcher and pitcher as a lanky youth, and his campaign manager as he rose to prominence was none other than Roy Hofheinz, the imagination behind Houston's Astrodome. Johnson was Hofheinz's guest on April 9, 1965, as the Astros beat the Yankees in the debut at the Astrodome. Despite Johnson's love for the game, he would attend only two more games as President as the turmoil of the late 1960s absorbed him. Johnson single signed baseballs are very rare.
