HOOVER, HERBERT. 1874-1964.

Two Photographs Signed ("Herbert Hoover"):
1. Gelatin silver print, 190 x 148 mm image area, posed with his dog "King Tut," signed in lower margin. Slight fading. Matted and framed.
2. Gelatin silver print, 235 x 180 mm, portrait, inscribed and signed in lower margin: "To Mrs. Berman S. Ponton, with kind regards of Herbert Hoover."
WITH: A silk bandana with screen-printed portrait of Hoover and facsimile signature at bottom edge. Creases, some staining.

The Hoovers were extremely fond of pets, and had numerous dogs during their years at the White House. King Tut is said to have been his favorite, and was often featured in photos of the President.
