CHASE, WILLIAM SEWARD, EDWIN M. STANTON,JOHN C. FREMONT, GIDEON WELLES, HENRY WILSON, ROSCOE CONKLING, GEORGE C. MEADE, DAVID FARRAGUT, DAVID D. PORTER, and many others, 8vo, bound in full calf gilt. With 5 pp typed manuscript of professor E. Leigh Mudge opining on the merits of the album.
Provenance: J.C. Browning (ownership stamp to front free endpaper); by descent to his son, C.S. Browning, 1920s.

A handsome example of a 19th century autograph album owned by someone with access to the halls of power.
