A Jim Morrison Signed W-4 Form For His Appearance on American Bandstand

July 22, 1967, signed "Jim Morrison." Lower margin rough. Morrison and The Doors performed "Crystal Ship" and their recent hit "Light My Fire" to a very enthusiastic Bandstand audience. A color copy of the American Bandstand contract from The Doors appearance on the show accompanies this W-4 form along with a letter from the recipient whose family member obtained both the contract and the W-4 form.

American Bandstand was a music-performance and dance television program that aired from 1952-1989 with Dick Clark serving as the program's producer and host. In this episode, Dick Clark sits in the audience among a very well dressed and polite crowd to watch The Doors sing "Crystal Ship" and "Light My Fire." Dick Clark ends the show by saying "That has got to be the biggest, most fantastically successful group of the coming years." "Light My Fire" was the #1 single in U.S. that week.
