A Vincennes bleu-célèste ground cup and saucer, 1755

Gobelet 'calabre' et soucoupe of the first size, painted in puce camaieu with putti amongst clouds surrounded by gilt foliate and floral scrollwork, gilt dentil borders to the rims, interlaced LL monogram in blue enclosing date letter B and unidentified painter's mark F (minor wear to gilt dentil border on cup) (2)

Please note, there is one tiny spot of retouching to the gilding on the rim at approx. 12 o'clock on the saucer. It is not possible to determine if this is covering flaking to the gilding or a minuscule restored chip.
