A Meissen silver-mounted octagonal coffee pot and cover, circa 1735

Decorated in Kakiemon style with panels of foliate scrollwork reserved on an iron-red ground with a gilt chrysanthemum, alternating with Chinese symbols and flowers, the ear-shaped handle and spout with small flowers, the cover similarly decorated, the cover with hinged mount, 22.5cm high, crossed swords mark in purple enamel, impressed Dreher's mark of three circles for Gottfried Seydel (finial broken off with silver replacement, restored chip to rim of cover)
