A pair of Sèvres green-ground vases, circa 1887

Vases Potiche ovoïde allongée, painted in Japonisme style, the green ground decorated in black and gilding with flowering branches and butterflies, the foot of each with interconnected black hexagons enclosing gilt star motifs on a gilt band, 33.5cm high, RF and Decoré à Sèvres 87 within a circle stencilled to undersides, N.C. 86 in brown and black to both, incised marks (one with crack) (2)
