A porcelain fruit basket, Imperial Porcelain Manufactory, St. Petersburg, Period of Nicholas I (1825-1855)

The pierced bowl moulded with applied floral sprays,
painted with birds, insects and flowers in gilt reserves, flanked by loop handles and tapering to a scrolling ovoid base, 32.2cm long across handles, crowned cyrillic N 1 mark in underglaze-blue (minor chips to applied flowers)
