A Sèvres coupe and cover, circa 1864

Coupe Henri II, painted by Alfred Meyer, the cover with putti on dolphins alternating with gilt townscapes on a brown background, the rim with a border of turquoise and blue overlapping scales, the coupe with a tuquoise-ground border of shaded classical masks and scrollwork, the stem with gilt stars and further blue scale bands, 24.8cm high, 20.8cm diam., crowned N and 'Décoré à Sèvres 64' stencilled in iron-red, S.62 in green and incised marks to underside (minor wear to gilding) (2)
