A Sèvres déjeuner, circa 1781

Déjeuner Duplessis, decorated with scattered polychrome and gilt flower sprays, the rims with a wide border of blue cornflowers and roses between maroon double-line borders intertwined with gilt foliage, comprising: a tray (plateau Duplessis), a teapot and cover (théière 'Calabre'), a sugar bowl and cover (pot à sucre 'Bouret'), a cup and saucer (gobelet 'litron' et soucoupe) and a milk jug (pot à lait à trois pieds), the tray: 35cm across handles, interlaced LL monograms enclosing date letters dd, painter's marks for Jean-Jacques Pierre (le jeune), gilder's marks for Decambos, various incised marks (restored section to tray) (8)
