A pair of Sèvres dishes from a service for the duc d'Harcourt, circa 1787

Compotier rond, decorated with a central bouquet of flowers surrounded by a lavender-ground band with a gilt foliate garland, the rims with sprays of flowers and four gilt dot cartouches enclosing pansies between berried foliate garlands and further lavender-ground bands, the rims gilt, 21cm diam., interlaced LL monograms enclosing date letters KK, painter's marks for Guillaume-Charles-Alexandre Buteux, gilder's marks for Etienne-Gabriel Girard, incised marks (2)
