A Sèvres sugar bowl and cover, circa 1770

Pot à sucre 'Bouret' of the second size, the fond Taillandier reserved with gilt-edged joined panels with trailing berried laurel garlands enclosing grey monochrome putti, the cover similarly decorated with trophies, with flowerbud finial, interlaced LL monogram in blue, painter's marks for Vincent Taillandier and P.-A. Méreaud (père) and unattributed painter's mark ilq (tiny chip to finial) (2)
