Footnotes

A closely similar two-handled cup and saucer, probably originally part of the same set as the present lot, was in the Adalbert von Lanna Collection, Prague (sold by Lepke's Berlin, 21-28 March 1911, lot 928). A cup and saucer from the same year with similar classical scenes in shades of brown and gilding is illustrated in E. Sturm-Bednarczyk / C. Jobst, Viennese Porcelain of the Neo-classical Period (2000), p.40.
