A Vienna green-ground cup and saucer, circa 1820

The cup with a gilt handle with claw foot terminal, reserved with a panel depicting two girls and a boy admiring a butterfly perched on a leafy branch, gilt bands along the rims above a gilt border of lyres flanked by leafy branches alternating with torches, the cup interior gilt, the cup: 9.5cm high, shield marks in underglaze-blue, impressed 820 and further numerals, gilt ii. (restored chip to footrim of cup) (2)
