Footnotes

A similar chocolate cup and saucer from the same service, formerly in the Georg Tillmann Collection, Hamburg, is in the Imhoff-Stollwerck Museum (published by E. Sturm-Bednarczyk (ed.), Claudius Innocentius de Paquier (1994), no. 107). Two two-handled beakers and saucers from the same service were in the Otto and Magdalena Blohm Collection (sold by Sotheby's London, 10 October 1961, lots 682 and 683). The scene of a satyr with two nymphs on the saucer also appears on a monochrome saucer in the collection of the Princes of Liechtenstein (M. Chilton/C. Lehner-Jobst (eds.), Fired by Passion (2009), vol. I, p. 387, ill. 4:112).
