A pair of German porcelain pipe tampers shaped as a Turkish man and woman, second half 18th century

Each modelled on a fluted slightly tapered base, a moulded diamond grit under each base, the finials modelled as a lady wearing a feathered headdress with veil, with pearls around her forehead and neck, the man with a finely painted mustache, wearing a turban and puce cape over his buttoned chemise, 6.5cm each (he: broken through the middle and restuck) (2)
