A Meissen dessert plate, circa 1763-74

Of 'Brühlsche Allerlei' pattern, modelled by J.F. Eberlein with a pierced rim of flowers, heightened in enamels, alternating with trellis panels enclosing gilt-edged shell motifs, the well painted with fruit, vegetables, leaves and flowers, 26cm diam., crossed swords and dot mark in underglaze-blue, impressed numeral

The model was created by Eberlein in 1746 for the dessert service, part of of the large table service of over 2000 pieces, made for Heinrich Graf von Brühl, known as the 'Brühlsche Allerlei' (see Johanna Lessmann, Das "Brühlsche Allerlei" Ein Service für Heinrich Graf von Brühl, in U. Pietsch (ed.), Schwanenservice (2000), pp. 106-123).
