Printed sheet, 1 p, 278 x 148 mm. Folds, numerous creases, slightly soiled, a few small tears, one with tape repair visible on verso.
LINDBERGH RECEIVES THE HIGHEST HONOR OF THE NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC SOCIETY, the Hubbard Medal, in November 1927. The award of the medal was announced in June of that year, but Lindbergh had not yet returned from France. The official presentation took place on November 14, and the medal was presented personally by President Calvin Coolidge. This program gives the sequence of events, starting with a musical performance by the United States Army Band, and ending with the screening of a motion picture. Lindburgh's party consisted of himself and his mother. Anne Morrow Lindbergh (who would also receive the Hubbard Medal in 1934) was not in attendance.
