Footnotes
Modelled by J.F. Eberlein
One of a series of Greek gods and mythological figures modelled by Eberlein between 1741-47, possibly with the assistance of Kändler. Ten figures from the set were in the von Klemperer collection (Schnorr von Carolsfeld 1928, nos. 688-97), and a figure of Daphne from the same series is published in Rückert 1966, no. 979, where the author notes that the pedestal was reworked by Ehder in February 1744.
