A George II silver tea kettle, burner and triangular stand

by Peter Archambo, London 1733
Of shaped fluted form and chased with a baroque border, the triangular stand with shaped and cast rim, height overall 35cm, weight 89oz.

Footnotes

This is a fine example of Peter Archambo's work and it is unusual for the triangular stand to survive. He is credited as being one of the key Huguenot makers who introduced the rococo style to England. One of his most significant works is the wine cistern commissioned by George Booth, 2nd Earl of Warrington, which still remains at Dunham Massey in Cheshire.
