A two-fold inlaid lacquer dressing screen
Meiji era, 19th century
Each panel with a pediment carved and pierced with a bird amidst prunus branches, the outer framing carved in relief with tree shrews among fruiting vine, the panels decorated in high relief to one side with, a hen and two chicks below prunus and tree-peony issuing from rockwork and to the other side a single cockerel on rockwork issuing flowers, carved wood lower panels.
